Squint. Types

The squint can be accompanying circumstance or incomitant.

The concomitant strabismus means, that the squint is peer, irrespective of which management the steadfast view intends. It specifies, that individual extraocular muscles function individually, but that they cannot be simply referred in the same purpose. The concomitant strabismus in the child is younger 6 seldom specifies serious neurologic disturbance. The blindness in one eye usually causes a concomitant strabismus, an eye of the child who has become interior, and those from the adult, become guided outside.

The paralytic squint meets, when the mismatch degree varies depending on a management of a steadfast view. It specifies, that one or more extraocular muscles, probably, does not function usually. Squint types include:

  • Esotropia, or one eye which have become by the interior
  • Exotropia, or one eye which have become guided outside
  • Hypertropia, or one eye which have become by the ascending
  • hypotropia, or one eye which have become by the descending

The medial squint is shown as disability to tap (a course from the side) an eye. It usually causes damage of a nerve of an offtaking nerve or a kern of an offtaking nerve. Effect - that the eye in its normal having a rest state is declined in the middle as motions of a medial direct muscle are less declined by a denervated muscle lateralnoj a direct muscle.

Pseudo-squint - false occurrence of a squint. It in general meets in babies and kids, whose bridge of their nose is wide and flat. It causes squint occurrence. With the years the bridge of a nose of the child will be narrowed, and folds in an angle of eyes will leave. To find out a difference between a pseudo-squint and a squint, the projector is shone in the opinion of the child. When the child looks at light, reflection can be noted on a surface of the forward side of a pupil. If eyes properly are the ally with each other then reflection will be in same maculae each eye. If the squint is present, reflection from light will not be in same maculae each eye.
