Scleritis

Scleritis - serious inflammatory illness which damages a white exterior coat of the eye known as a sclera. Illness is often reduced through association with other illnesses of a body, such as granulomatosis Vegenera or a pseudorheumatism; it can be reached also through menses disturbances. Therefore the scleritis often meets among young women. There are three types of a scleritis: a diffuse scleritis (most blanket), a nodal scleritis, and a necrotic scleritis (most serious).

 Illness symptoms include:

• a sclera and conjunctiva Redness, sometimes changing on a violet tone
• Serious eye pain
• Enlarged light sensitivity and bursting
• vision Losses

The diagnosis

The scleritis can be found out through visual testing of acuteness, just as through scannings KT, a nuclear magnetic resonance, and ultraechographies.

Treatment

In very serious cases of a necrotic scleritis the eye surgery should be executed to recover the defective corneal tissue in an eye and to maintain vision of the patient. For less serious cases nonsteroid antiinflammatory preparations, such as Ibufrofenum, are ordered for pain relief. The scleritis is treated with the oral treatment containing corticosteroids and the eye solution. In some cases, antibiotics are ordered. It will not be simple use of eye drops to treat a scleritis. If not treating, the scleritis can cause blindness.
