LASIK eye surgery aftercare?
i’ve had LASIK eye surgery. 24 hours after surgery my surgeon lifted a touch which he’d placed over the left eye; which was put there to shun severe pain/discomfort. I have the ability to see clear from my right eye, however vision in my left eye is blurred and bloodshot from having the touch removed. Has any experienced this or heard of this, and will the vision in my left eye enrich?
Clearly Lasik

hmm are you sure you didn’t have PRK? sometimes a contact lens is placed if there is a problem with the LASIK flap. YES your left eye vision is likely to improve

No, this is not PRK – lens would not be on for 24 hours and then removed – it would be for 4 days. In terms of how your vision will recover, it would be useful to know what recipe you had before the treatment and what treatment plan was implemented – that is what the vision meant. How old you are, etc. In terms of your surgery, I suggest the following: You already have one of the following: corneal abrasion, thin flap (ea/rbowman), poor flap, full cap.
We usually put all Lasik eye lenses for 24 hours if we cut thin flaps in our patients.
But the fact that you only had one eye on the lens means that something did not go according to the typical plan.Nu, this is not a problem, patients can not squeeze more in their second round eyes and flap complications occur in most of the second order ( normally).
Your eyes are not bloodshot from the lens, this sub-conjunctival haemorrhage, again caused by excessive squeezing of the eye and increased pressure applied by the surgeon to complete the flap. Do not be surprised if you end up with a fair amount of dark blue spots in the coming days in your sclera (white of your eye). Sight wise it is difficult to say, unless the exact problem is known but often vision is not affected by thin flaps or full caps. Corneal abrasions can be a little sore, but healed relatively quickly without damaging vision. Poorly cut or torn pieces are difficult to predict. Make sure you keep your steroid drops and go back for a follow-up appointments regularly.

Yes. . . This is a common, but the aftercare is just as important as the surgery itself, but varies from one operation to another.
You advised to sleep if you blurred vision, halo effect, bright etc for a few hours to have.
You should not rub your eyes until you heal completely.
You can work in the computer and watch TV provided you have your eyes lubricated.
You can do make-ups, but no eye makeup for at least a few weken.Normaal operations can be given an option to have your eyes checked visit, free for about a year or two.
You must notify the surgery if you have severe pain or discomfort.
