Glaucoma
Glaucoma - group of illnesses of the optic nerve involving losses setchatochnyh of cells of a ganglion in the characteristic structure of an optical neuropathy. Though the ophthalmotonus - the considerable risk factor to develop a glaucoma is lifted, there is no erected threshold for an ophthalmotonus which causes a glaucoma. One person can develop nerve damage on rather low pressure while other person can have high eye pressures for many years and still never to develop damage. The raw glaucoma leads to permanent damage of an optic nerve and resulting visual field losses which can progress to blindness.
