The LASIK flap is not a sign of a permanent bond with the cornea for several years.

It is supported by a water pump or "aspiration" that appears in the cornea.

The flap can be removed rather easily with an average eye until 3-4 years after surgery.

The significance of this is: if you have an accident with an air bag or a corneal scratch from a makeup brush or a fingernail or a bush in the yard, the flap should be examined by an ophthalmologist to make sure it is correctly positioned on the cornea.

yes cure, if done right the scars are not noticeable, the cornea heals quickly and completely as possible. My vision went from 20/50 to 20/15 in one day in both eyes while the doctor can see the scar with special equipment, I can not see it and not notice, not anyone else.

Yes. Lasik surgery is a highly selective myopia where no pathological changes in the bottom of experienced surgeons in the field.

I found a reliable source, WebMD that never actually do heal. Basically there is no scar to block the blade with the rest of the cornea. Floats in key position. Http://blogs.

WebMD.com/eye-on-vision/200 ... This is a link to a page that shows the strength of the flap is significantly lower after surgery and no cures as strong as a normal eye.

It concluded: "However, the LASIK flap wound margin heals by producing a 10-fold stronger, peripheral hypercellular stromal fibrosis scar that averages 28. 1% as strong as normal comeal stromal, but displays marked variability. "
-
-http://www.NCBI. NLM. NIH. Gov/pubmed/16209 ... For this reason, an accident can cause a person who had lasik even 10 years ago, have detached flap. Other people had a hit disloged the finger pushes and airbags. There are many people who say that the flap heals, but usually say, not to scare people with the technical truth.

The flap has become safer over time, but it has the same old integrity.
